Who Am I, and What Am I to you?

I've thought about blogging for quite a while--at least for a couple of years. Everybody's doing it, right? Why not me?

But I've never reached the point where I committed myself to actually doing it.

Hopefully, now is that time.

I have an active and incisive mind (at least I think so). I analyze, and I think--a lot.

As an aware black American man, I think about race and racism all the time. Maybe too much.

I see racism everywhere. Not because I just feel like seeing racism. It's because racism is everywhere.

That makes me angry. All the time. Every day.

So, I need a place to park these thoughts. They germinate, grow, and tumble around in my head.

They need an outlet. Before they tumble out and cause trouble, or my head explodes.

This is it. My thought outlet. My thought parking lot.

The posts won't be highly structured. They won't be fancy.

Usually, but not always, my posts will be about race and racial matters. My views are not always orthodox, but that's a good thing.

Who wants to read orthodoxy?
Not you, right?

I hope this blog will help keep me sane.

I'll keep my fingers crossed...
